Donate period products, learn about menstrual inequality and period poverty, and package menstrual hygiene kits.
Help women in need at this special event organized by a local high school student as part of her work with Health Occupations Students of America. We will be collecting period products to create menstrual hygiene kits which will then be distributed to local organizations such as Home of the Sparrow shelter (Woodstock) and the Period Collective. Learn about menstrual inequality and period poverty and how they affect us all as you build community with fellow volunteers. Donations (pads, tampons, wipes, etc.) may be dropped off at the library's Information Desk now through March 5, or if you plan to attend the event, bring donations with you to the event. There will be a brief presentation/discussion of the topic. For teens and adults. Register if you would like to receive event reminders.
