John Domagalski's book Escape from Java: The Extraordinary World War II Story of the USS Marblehead recounts little-known story of the badly damaged American warship and her heroic crew.
Despite extensive damage, her crew completed an extraordinary 13,000-mile voyage back to the United States while a group of her wounded sailors left behind on the island of Java make a daring escape ahead of Japanese invasion. Copies of the book will be for sale at a cost of $25 each - cash or check only. Ages 13 and up. Registration is required.
