Historian, Leslie Goddard, author of the book, Chicago’s Sweet Candy History, will take us through nearly 200 years of Chicago’s candy history, using photographs, memorabilia, and stories she collected for her book. You may be surprised to learn that Chicago has a very rich connection with candy making. We will learn the history of these tasty treats and what made Chicago such an ideal location for candymakers.
