Join us for a three session, hands-on introduction to Microsoft Excel designed for beginners who want to to use spreadsheet in practical, everyday ways. Participants will learn how to enter and organize information, work with simple formulas, and create easy tools for personal budgeting, household tracking, and more. No prior experience is required.
Session 1: March 4 | Excel Basics & Building Confidence
Topics covered:
Navigating the Excel workspace
Understanding rows, columns, cells, and worksheets
Entering and formatting data
Using Autofill and basic layout tools
Saving and organizing Excel files
Session 2: March 18 | Working with Data & Letting Excel Do the Math
Topics covered:
Introduction to formulas and functions
Essential functions (SUM, AVERAGE, MIN/MAX, COUNT)
Sorting and filtering information
Freezing rows and columns
Creating simple charts
Session 3: March 25 | Excel for Personal Use
Topics covered:
Creating simple household budgets
Building personal lists and trackers (pantry, medications, tasks, etc.)
Designing easy calendars and habit trackers
Intro to lookups for everyday use
Helpful tips & tricks for staying organized
